The session looked at how to incorporate this tool into your strategy for managing your portal site for success, and also reviewed other tools that compete with it.

Alexa & Hitwise - They're Watching You!

Alexa and Hitwise both monitor the behavior of users on websites, but that's where the similarities end. This session walked attendees through the information provided by both organizations, comparing and contrasting the data and services they each provide. If you look at the data with the proper degree of skepticism, you can learn many interesting facts that will help you be successful. But if you take the raw data as the gospel truth, it's easy to draw false conclusions.
